Who you are dealing with
This site is run by broderbeats, a DJ and producer based in Wellington, New Zealand. Using it means accepting what is set out below. If you do not, please stop using the site.
Anything on this page can be raised at [email protected].
The site
Tour dates, releases and show information are published in good faith and can change. A date that is shown without a city or a venue is being held, not announced, and may never happen. A listing here is not a promise that a show will go ahead, or that it will go ahead as listed.
The site is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, there is no liability for loss arising from relying on what is published here, or from the site being unavailable or wrong. Nothing on this page limits rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Tickets
No ticket is sold on this site. Ticket links hand you to a third party ticketing agent, and the purchase is between you and them under their terms. Refunds, exchanges, entry conditions, age restrictions and what happens if a show is moved or cancelled are theirs to set and theirs to honour.
Signing up for on sale news
Some dates take an email instead of a ticket link, because tickets are not on sale yet. Submitting that form is your express consent, under the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007, to be emailed about that show and about future tour dates. That sentence is the whole scope of it. Nothing else gets sent on the strength of it.
What is stored when you submit the form:
- your name and email address
- your phone number, if you chose to give one
- the date and city you signed up for
- when you submitted it, and which version of the consent wording you agreed to
Every email sent to that list identifies broderbeats as the sender and carries a working unsubscribe. You can also opt out at any time by writing to [email protected], and you will be removed.
Your details are never sold, rented, or passed to anyone else for their own marketing. They are handled by service providers acting on our behalf, such as the site’s hosting and database provider and the tool used to send the mailout, and by nobody else.
Your personal information
What is collected is held in line with the Privacy Act 2020, and is kept only while the list it belongs to is in use. Unsubscribe and the record goes.
You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, by writing to [email protected].
Cookies and tracking
The public pages set no tracking cookies and run no analytics. There is no advertising pixel and no third party is watching you read this. The only cookie the site sets belongs to the private admin login, which visitors never touch.
To stop the signup form being hammered, a salted one way hash of the submitting IP address is counted for ten minutes and then deleted. The address itself is never written down, so the counter cannot be turned back into a list of who visited.
Music, photos and artwork
The recordings, artwork and the broderbeats wordmark belong to broderbeats or the labels named beside each release. The photographs belong to the photographers credited at the foot of the about page. Linking to the site and sharing it is welcome. Reusing the music, the images or the wordmark commercially, or passing any of it off as your own, is not, unless you have written permission first.
Links out
The site links out to Instagram, Spotify, SoundCloud, YouTube, TikTok, and ticketing agents. Those are other people’s services, with their own terms and their own handling of your data, and none of them is controlled from here.
Bookings
Booking enquiries go to Paxx Group at [email protected]. Any booking that follows is a separate agreement between the parties to it, and is not governed by this page.
Changes
These terms can change. The date at the top of the page says when they last did, and the version on the site is the version that applies. What someone already on the mailing list agreed to does not change with them: the consent wording in force when they signed up is stored against their record, and it stays the limit of what may be sent to them.
Governing law
New Zealand law governs this page and the use of this site, and the New Zealand courts have jurisdiction over any dispute about it.
